Medical and non-medical transportation is available for Canton Township residents age 55 and older or residents who have a temporary/permanent disability or qualify for Social Security Disability. A priority system is use for reservations with rides to medical appointments and employment being the highest.
Nankin Transit Commission is the current service provider for the Canton Mobility Transportation program and provides local transportation to qualified participants within the service areas of: Canton, Westland, Wayne, Garden City and Inkster and to any destination within a mile of the borders of these communities. Transportation is also available to and from St. Mary’s Hospital in Livonia.
